Francesco Ghersina's Biography
Francesco Ghersina was born in the countryside near Florence in 1989.
He studied Engraving and Printmaking at the Art College of Florence where he developed his deep interest in drawing. After the diploma he undertook an Illustration course at the International School of Comics before moving to London in 2009 and starting a freelance illustration career.
Since moved in London Francesco collaborated with few web-design studios, made illustrations for magazines, worked on private commissions and as character designer and animator for few animation projects.
Francesco creates his images mostly with traditional pencil and colours them digitally recreating an "hand-made" effect on the computer. He also works completely with digital or completely by hand depending on the commission.
His style is a blended mix between traditional and digital.
